Crumlin can return to summit with Merrion scalp

Mount Merrion's title credentials will be severely examined tonight against champions Crumlin United in Ringsend Park, with the winners taking control at the top of the Senior Division table.

Merrion blasted out of the blocks this season, throwing away the shackles of two seasons of relegation battles, to storm to the top of the table with five wins on the trot.

SENIOR DIVISION

MOUNT MERRION v CRUMLIN UNITED: United warmed up for this clash with an impressive 3-0 win over Wayside in midweek to move into second place. A win tomorrow will see the champions return to the summit. It's hard to bet against the Blues in this form. Verdict: Crumlin.

ARKLOW TOWN v GLEBE NORTH: Winless Town will continue to struggle tomorrow and Glebe will be happy to add to the misery. Verdict: Glebe.

BLUEBELL UNITED v MALAHIDE UNITED: Four wins from their last five games have helped Malahide move up the table following a dodgy start. The 'Bell are striding along purposely, but tomorrow could be stalemate for this pair. Verdict: Draw.

BANGOR CELTIC v TOLKA ROVERS

Bangor have yet to win in their new home of the Iveagh Grounds, while Rovers haven't clicked on the road with just one win in three. A draw is on the cards. Verdict: Draw.

FIRHOUSE/CLOVER v WAYSIDE CELTIC

Firhouse are one of four sides left in the top flight that are still looking for a win this season. The Celts lost to Crumlin in midweek and will want to bounce straight back. Verdict: Wayside.
