Connor's Wolves warning

Wolves manager Terry Connor has backed his side to bounce back from yesterday's "bloody nose" at Fulham when they face fellow strugglers Blackburn next weekend.

Wolves suffered an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at Craven Cottage which saw them drop into the bottom three on goal difference. "I thought we played well for the whole game at Newcastle and found ourselves 2-0 down, like we did today," Connor said.

"We're always going to get a bloody nose now and again. We're not the best team in the league and we're always going to get beat now and again. For me, it is how we bounce back from these things and certainly when we get back in tomorrow we will be positive and try to work ourselves towards Blackburn on Saturday and go into it ready to win it."

Fulham climbed to eighth after Pavel Pogrebnyak scored a hat-trick and Clint Dempsey netted twice.

Russia international Pogrebnyak was drafted in on transfer deadline day in January to fill the void left by Bobby Zamora's move to QPR and has scored five goals in three games.
