SEAMUS COLEMAN believes that the new crop of Ireland stars are coming to the fore at just the right time.
Wednesday's 1-1 draw with England at Wembley saw Coleman, James McCarthy and Shane Long, who have been on the fringes at international level until recently, come away with great credit, while Derby County man Jeff Hendrick put in another good display as a sub.
Coleman feels that the future is bright, now that the younger squad members are getting a chance.
"We have some great players in our team. People sometimes forget that," said Coleman.
"James McCarthy in the middle is a great ball player, Aiden McGeady out wide on the left is a tricky winger and Shane Long up front is a real goalscorer.
"So we have players and we are starting to get a run in the team now. That age group is coming through and hopefully, that can lead to three points against the Faroes on Friday."
