Coleman savours Donegal triumph

A SUPERB display against England at Wembley was just another good day in a good week for Seamus Coleman after his native Donegal put a smile on his face a few days earlier, with a successful start to the All-Ireland champions' defence of their Ulster SFC title.

"It was a good week for me with the Wembley game on Wednesday after Donegal had won on the Sunday," the Killybegs man told the Herald.

"I still keep in touch with all the lads back home and it was great for Donegal last weekend, they had a brilliant start to the Championship.

"My Gaelic-playing days are behind me but I still want to see the lads do well.

"I saw the Tyrone game on TV, and it was great to see, it was tight for a while but their experience saw them through in the end."
