City's Nielsen standout man in Faroes selection

THE FAROE Islands have included Manchester City keeper Gunnar Nielsen in their squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Ireland.

Ireland play away to the Faroes in 15 days' time and coach Lars Olsen has named nine foreign-based players in the squad. Keeper Nielsen, who has made just one appearance for City, is the standout name in the panel and he's one of two British-based players, along with defender Odmar Faero, who plays for Scottish Second Division side Forfar.
