Chelsea are considering a fresh move for Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp (below) as they continue their search for a new manager.
Everton boss David Moyes and Malaga's Manuel Pellegrini are the two other strongest possibilities.
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is pushing to be considered but, while the Real Madrid coach has his supporters within the Stamford Bridge hierarchy, there are serious concerns about him returning. Klopp rebuffed Chelsea's interest last season, signing a new contract at Dortmund to 2016, and it remains unlikely that he would want to move, with an expectation that he is keen to eventually succeed Joachim Loew as coach of the German national team.
Chelsea also continue to monitor developments at Everton, with Moyes' contract coming to an end this summer.
