Celt Hooper sends title warning shot to Gers

Gary Hooper has warned Celtic's SPL rivals that Neil Lennon's men are only going to get stronger, writes JOE McHUGH.

After six games Celtic are locked on full points with Rangers, who have a heavy programme of Champions League matches to negotiate over the next three months.

Hooper teamed up with Anthony Stokes in the 2-1 win over Hibernian, with the goals coming from captain Scott Brown and defender Glenn Loovens.

After the 6-0 rout of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, the result was a bit of an anti-climax, but Hooper is confident that there is much more to come from the Parkhead outfit.

The former Scunthorpe striker said: "I don't think we have really clicked yet as a team. I really don't think we have shown yet what we are capable of.

"We won 6-0 against Inverness during the week, but I believe there's much more to come from us, we can step up a level.

"We can't play brilliantly every week -- it's not going to be 6-0 every game. There are loads more games to come in the next few months and hopefully that's what will happen.

"Once we all get to know each other a bit better we'll develop more as a team. Once we get more time together in training people will see a difference. The main thing against Hibs was to get the three points."
