ITALY 'keeper Gianluigi Buffon believes the Azzurri can put their pre-Euro 2012 troubles behind them and go on to lift the trophy.
Italy's preparations for the finals have been severely disrupted due to the ongoing investigation into match-fixing allegations, while a friendly against Luxembourg, due to take place in Parma, was called off due to an earthquake.
But Buffon says morale is still high within Cesare Prandelli's squad.
"Things are going well and we'll enter the competition with the desire to win it. That is the reason why we are all here," said Buffon.
"The climate within the squad is very good and I'm not just saying that. There is the right amount of joy and abandonment here to work in the best way possible.
"There is nobody in the squad today that has been directly touched by what has occurred during these past few days."
