Ireland star Robbie Brady has taken a step towards his recovery after he appeared in a training game for Burnley, a major boost for Martin O'Neill as he plans for next month's Nations League games.
Brady has not played for club or country since he suffered a knee injury in December and, despite featuring in pre-season for Clarets, he suffered a number of injury setbacks.
But the Dubliner played in a behind-closed-doors game against Burnley's U-23 side yesterday, along with fellow injury victim Steven Defour, and boss Sean Dyche is upbeat. "We had a little in-house game for him and Robbie," Dyche said.
"Steven has been going along nicely in full training for a couple of weeks with the first team. Robbie is not far behind and we are looking forward to having them both back."
But Jon Walters, on loan to Ipswich from Burnley, remains a concern as he missed a midweek game and will not be fit to face Bolton tomorrow.Walters has yet to play for the side.
