BOHEMIANS have lost the services of highly-rated full back Luke Byrne as the teenager has told the Gypsies that he won't be back at Dalymount Park next season.

Shamrock Rovers are favourites to land Byrne for next season, though Sligo Rovers are also in the hunt for the youngster who has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the league.

Bohs would be due compensation for Byrne who has spent four seasons at Dalymount Park. Shamrock Rovers appear to be planning a clear-out of the 2013 squad to make room for new arrivals as Conor Kenna, Simon Madden and Ian Bermingham have been linked with the Hoops, while midfielder Stephen Bradley could also return to Tallaght Stadium after a spell with Limerick.

Ken Oman could move from Rovers to city rivals St Patrick's Athletic while Pats man Aidan Price has been linked with a return to Bohs.
