Bohemians recovered from an early scare to move into the next round of the EA Sports Cup last night.
The Gypsies had gone a goal down at home to Cabinteely, Sean Fitzpatrick the scorer, but goals just before half time from Dylan Watts and Rob Manley (2) had Keith Long's side 3-1 up at the break, and further goals from Daniel Grant and Watts earned a 5-1 win.
Shelbourne inflicted more misery on Premier Division Bray Wanderers, the Reds 3-0 winners at the Carlisle Grounds, James English (2) and Gavin Boyne the scorers for Shels. Waterford enjoyed a 4-1 win at home to UCC. John Martin, Sanderr Puri, Derek Daly and Izzy Akinade scored for the Blues, Ronan Hennessy on target for UCC.
In the First Division last night, Gareth McCaffrey and Richie Purdy gave Drogheda United a 2-1 win at home to Finn Harps.
