Bohs denied by UCD

BOHEMIANS' home form is fast becoming a source of concern for manager Pat Fenlon as UCD held them to a 0-0 draw at Dalymount Park.

Fenlon's reigning champions have won just one Airtricity League game at Dalymount Park in six attempts -- and that was a controversial opening-day victory over Sporting Fingal.

After a tentative start, the visitors threatened first and had a penalty appeal dismissed when David McMillan went down before Andy Boyle's header from a corner was cleared off the line. After a sharp break, Ciaran Kilduff side-footed narrowly wide.

Bohs had a penalty shout dismissed when a powerful strike from Mark Quigley appeared to be blocked by the arm of Evan McMillan, and Jason Byrne passed up a golden chance when he blasted wide from close range after a clever cut-back by Keegan following an astute Ruaidhri Higgins pass.

Five minutes into the second half, Quigley was unlucky to see his curling effort glance off the base of the upright, then Anto Murphy headed wide from a Higgins free-kick. Kilduff and Bolger almost combined to produce an opener for UCD in the 66th minute but Paul Keegan slid in to clear.
