Bohs date change means it could be all Rover in under a fortnight

DUBLIN rivals Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers will clash in just 12 days' time as the potential title decider between the two clubs has been brought forward.

Bohs and Rovers were down to play each other at Dalymount Park on Friday, October 15, but that date now clashes with the FAI Cup semi-final, where Bohs host Sligo Rovers, so Tuesday, October 5, has been confirmed as the new date for the Dublin derby, though an early kick-off time of 7.05pm may not go down well with supporters.

Rovers can extend their lead at the top of the table to six points if they can win at home to Galway United tomorrow night. After that the clubs have just one more league game -- Bohs at home to Bray Wanderers and Rovers away to UCD -- before the derby clash on Tuesday week.

Two other games have also been rearranged to suit the Cup semi-final schedule.

The Drogheda United-St Patrick's Athletic and the Sligo Rovers-Bray Wanderers matches will also now be played on October 5.
