Blues await home rule

MARTIN Russell hopes that Limerick FC's move back to their spiritual home of the Markets Field next month can lead to an improvement in form.

The Blues lost 1-0 to Cork City on Saturday at their temporary home of Jackman Park, where Russell's side have managed three draws (and no wins) in eight games this season. By the time of their next home fixture in June, the Markets Field will be open, good news for Russell.

"We're looking forward to going to the Markets Field which will be a better surface," said Russell.

"We have got some very big games in the middle third now where we feel we can accumulate points. Going to the Markets Field will hopefully help that as well."
