Big cup clashes spur Hodgson

Roy Hodgson believes Fulham will start the decisive month of their season when they meet Tottenham in this evening's FA Cup quarter-final at Craven Cottage.

The late kick-off is the first of five fixtures in 16 days, a run that includes a trip to Manchester United and their Europa League last-16 tie against Juventus over two legs. By March 18 Fulham could have secured an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley and a place in the last eight of Europe.

Hodgson has urged his players to go out and write their name in the club's history books. "This is a big month and it's amazing that the games come back to back," said Hodgson. "First we have Tottenham, who are fourth in the Premier League and having a great season, in the quarter-final. Then a last-16 game in Turin.

"It's not often you don't pay much attention to a fixture against United, who we face the following Sunday, but that's the way it has to be at the moment. It would be a tremendous achievement if we could do something this month and get something from either of the fixtures against Tottenham or Juventus."
