Joey Barton has urged Burnley to keep their focus when they head to Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship tonight.
Sean Dyche's side beat Lancashire rivals Blackburn on Saturday and can consolidate top spot with victory at Craven Cottage.
"We set our sights early on in the season and what we want to achieve and obviously we needed to get three points (against Blackburn) in order to keep on track," midfielder Barton said. "We have to just keep controlling what's in our means. We have a tough game on Tuesday and this game owes you nothing, as the gaffer keeps saying."
Middlesbrough, a point behind in second, travel to struggling Rotherham but head coach Aitor Karanka is taking nothing for granted.
"For me it can be the most difficult game we have until the end of the season," Karanka said at his pre-match press conference. Everyone expects three points because Rotherham are in the bottom three and everybody thinks it will be an easy game. But for me it's a difficult game." Brighton will climb to third if they pick up a point against fellow promotion chasers Sheffield Wednesday.
Down at the bottom Charlton, who beat Brentford on Saturday, have the chance to boost their survival chances further when they take on fellow strugglers MK Dons.
