Barcelona and close rivals Atletico Madrid will resume rivaliries at the Nou Camp tonight in the quarter-final first leg of the Copa del Rey.

Barcelona play host to Atletico less than two weeks after they met in the league at the same venue, where Lionel Messi ended a scoring drought that lasted through six winless meetings with Atletico by scoring once and setting up fellow forwards Neymar and Luis Suarez for a 3-1 victory.

Atletico, however, arrive on firm footing after eliminating cup holders and bitter city rival Reals Madrid in the round of 16 last week.

"It will be an intense and tough tie," Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta said.

"Atletico is a difficult rival. We will have to play our best without making mistakes."

Meanwhile, Chinese billionaire Wang Jianlin is taking a 20 percent stake in Atletico Madrid, meaning the club will get a cash injection of 345million.
