Barcelona have reportedly agreed a £64million deal with Juventus to sign Paul Pogba - with the deal scheduled to go through in the summer of 2016.

According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, a lunch held between officials from the two clubs ended with an consensus over the transfer which, due to Barcelona's transfer embargo, will go through next summer and enable Pogba to spend one more season in Turin.

Manchester City were favourites to sign the French international, but Pogba's preferred destination is thought to be Barcelona.

Rival candidates for the Barcelona presidency, Joan Laporta and Josep Maria Bartomeu, the current president, have both cited Pogba as a potential signing should they win the election next month.

But while Bartomeu has insisted that a deal has already done with a "secret midfielder," understood not to be Pogba, former president Laporta has claimed that he will use his strong relationship with Mino Raiola, Pogba's agent, to negotiate a deal for the player.
