AVB: I don't want to take Liverpool job

ANDRE Villas Boas has ruled out any chance of replacing Brendan Rodgers at Anfield should John Henry lose patience with his struggling manager.

"I'm not the least bit interested in this. Returning to England is definitely not in my plans," said Villas Boas.

The former Chelsea, Spurs and current Zenit St Petersburg boss confirmed that he held talks with Liverpool about becoming coach at Anfield.

"I had talks with Liverpool, a club I admire a lot, but like I said it's not in my plans, although life takes many turns. I liked coaching in England, it was a positive experience, but negative things also happened."
