Austria turn to form

AUSTRIA hope their good run of form can carry them through in tonight's World Cup test against Sweden in Vienna.

The Austrians have recovered from a disappointing draw away to Kazakhstan early in the campaign and are proud of their four-point haul from their last two games, at home to the Faroe Islands (6-0) and away to Ireland (2-2).

Austria, second in Ireland's group, know that a win would help them fend off the Swedes in the fight for second place.

"You can feel the euphoria in Austria," Austria captain Christian Fuchs said. "We have developed considerably under Marcel Koller. Everyone in the team is eager for Friday."
