Andrews accepts his Blackburn days are over

KEITH Andrews says he's waiting to hear news on his long-term future at club level, but the midfielder knows he has no prospects at Blackburn Rovers, writes AIDAN FITZMAURICE.

Andrews took the brave step of dropping down a division earlier this season when he left Blackburn and joined Ipswich Town on loan. The move has been a success for both parties as Andrews is getting first team football and Ipswich are getting a steady supply of goals from the Dubliner, but that loan deal ends in two months. "The loan is up in early January and I don't honestly know what'll happen then. There's been bits and pieces in the press in England that Ipswich want to sign me on a permanent deal so we'll see what happens," said Andrews, who joined Blackburn from MK Dons.

"I don't think Blackburn want me back and I don't want to go back there so I'm sure something will get done. We'll wait and see."
