THERE was a strange turn of events in the build up to Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe yesterday evening as Betfair reported a drift in their market for the race on chief Irish raider So You Think, while Paddy Power suspended their betting until 9am this morning.
Aidan O'Brien's So You Think reached a high of 9/1 on the betting exchange website yesterday evening and just hours after Paddy Power revealed So You Think as a positive in the market (cutting him from 5/1 into 9/2), they then took down their betting on the race due to the uncertainties surrounding his involvement.
Last night, So You Think was a high of 5/1 with most bookmakers and just over 7/1 on Betfair.
