Youthful look to Leinster 'A'

JORDI MURPHY leads a young Leinster team in action against Newcastle Falcons in tomorrow night's British & Irish Cup Final at Kingston Park (7.30).

Luke McGrath will continue his half-back pairing with his former school-mate Cathal Marsh.

LEINSTER 'A' (v Newcastle Falcons): F Carr; S Coghlan-Murray, B Macken, N Reid, A Boyle; C Marsh, L McGrath; J O'Connell, A Dundon, M Bent; T Beirne, M Flanagan; D Ryan, C Gilsenan, J Murphy. Subs: J Tracy, M Moore, L Auva'a, D Leavy, A Griggs, J Coghlan, A Byrne.

Connacht have captured the 2012 New Zealand U20 captain Jake Heenan on a three-year deal in what incoming coach Pat Lam described as "a real coup".

"I came across Jake when he was 17 years old. He played for the Blues U18s when they won the National competition and, even then, I could see what a natural leader and genuine team player he was," said Lam.

"He brought those leadership skills, as well as his physicality, to the U20 World Championship last summer."
