LEINSTER have put themselves in a real solid position at the top of the Magners table after a fantastic win against a good Cardiff side last Sunday.
Some of the younger guys -- especially the two young centres Eoin O'Malley and Fergus McFadden -- really shone, which was no mean feat against the likes of Tom Shanklin.
The future of rugby in the province is looking strong and it is heartening to see, considering the legacy that will be left behind once a few of the current crop begin to hang up their boots.
There will be a large void in the next three or four years, but, thankfully, at the moment there is a seamless transition between a large number of players in the squad, although the frontrow area does remain a problem from an Irish perspective.
Having the likes of Mike Ross on the bench is not the ideal scenario. However, in saying that, there are two excellent players ahead of him at the moment in CJ van der Linde and Stan Wright.
