We can't lose to Leinster: Rougerie

CAPTAIN Aurelien Rougerie has thrown down the gauntlet to Leinster by claiming Clermont-Auvergne "can't lose" if the attitude is right.

"I think that if all my partners are ready at the same moment, I think, as a team we can't lose. I feel that. I think it is true," Rougerie (below) said.

Clermont hooker Benjamin Kayser was also quick to point to the significance of their supporters.

"They can clap louder for a scrum than a fantastic try, so they know what they are speaking about," he said.

"When they see us committing to the team, they will go crazy because that is what they want.

"They want guys to bleed for the jersey. When we see that kind of support it makes us want to do even better".

Leinster expect at least 2,500 supporters to make their way to the Stade Chaban Delmas on Sunday to lend their voices to the argument.

It may even rise close to 3,000, given the number of overseas requests for tickets to Bordeaux in what is another example of the loyal support base Leinster has developed in hard economic times.
