Ulster put record on the line

THE only unbeaten club in the Heineken Cup will put that record on the line against a dangerous Montpellier in Belfast this evening.

Ulster v Montpellier, Ravenhill, Tonight (KO 8.0, live Sky Sports)

Ulster be warned. This French club has made more clean breaks than any other in Europe. It has just been their inability to convert ha has cost them.

The question is how much does Montpellier want this? They cannot qualify for the quarter-finals and they have more pressing concerns in the French Top-14. Mark Anscombe's Ulster have moved into the number one ranking and they will move heaven and earth to stay there, bringing back number eight Nick Williams and captain Johann Muller.

Ruan Pienaar and Paddy Jackson have been on the money in behind a physically big pack of forwards anchored by John Afoa and the returning Rory Best. Soon-to-be-Irish-qualified Jared Payne will be stationed at full-back as Darren Cave – who leads the assists League, creating four tries in four rounds – partners Luke Marshall in the centre.
