Tullamore in shock at sad passing of Ronnie

Tullamore RFC are sad to announce the tragic passing of their 2nd XV manager Ronnie Walsh (39) who died suddenly on Sunday morning. He played Youths with Tullamore and was at centre in 1995/96 when the club won 10 out of 10 matches in the Leinster League Division 2.

He also played senior rugby with Monkstown and Lansdowne and played at out-half in the first game that Buccaneers played in the AIL. He had previously been capped some years earlier by Connacht U20.

This was his first year in team management and his team won the Leinster 2nds League Division 1A on Saturday in Boyne.

His brother Eddie was a prominent Connacht rugby referee. Ronnie leaves his dear wife Mags -- they were married only last May -- sisters and brothers.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
