Saracens sure to shut down space to stop Connacht shock

WHILE Connacht have been able to tear up the script at Toulouse, they have not, as of yet, repeated the achievement in three attempts across the Irish Sea at Harlequins twice and Gloucester once.

There is still the possibility of an Amlin quarter-final somewhere out there in the ether if they can execute their game plan against England's most consistent club Saracens.

Connacht have nothing to lose really as they set about bringing the same aggression, discipline and opportunism that brought Toulouse to heel.

At the moment, Sarries are positioned as the final qualifier in eighth place, the second best runner-up. There will be no sense of complacency on their part.

Coach Mark McCall is in tune with what Connacht will bring to the argument from his many days at Ulster, as coach and player.

All logic points towards Saracens' depth of power and pace as the likely source to shut down the space Connacht will need to carry out a second shock in six rounds.
