Saints pupils' blitz a big hit in Drogheda

l Six teams from St Paul's and St Mary's parish national schools took part in a tag rugby blitz in Drogheda Leisure Park last week. In all, 150 children took part, consisting of four boys teams and two girls teams from each school.

The blitz was organised by Leinster Branch CCRO James Fay, with great help from Boyne RFC players Chris Pusi and Hugh Carolan and also Coach Craig McGrath, while teachers from both schools gave assistance on the day.

• All children took part on the day and really enjoyed themselves and were presented with Leinster Rugby merchandise at the end of the blitz.

• Many thanks to the Des Smyth Foundation as they provided funding for the inside facilities on the day. Hopefully some of the children will pull on a Boyne rugby jersey in the coming months. For further details on Boyne RFC see www.boynerfc.ie.
