Railway Union Ladies' Day tracks latest styles

THE second annual Railway Union RFC Ladies' Day was held on November 17 and was once again a resounding success with more than 100 people in attendance.

Inside the Park Avenue clubhouse, top Irish fashion stylist Courtney Smith cast an eye over the fashion on display and decided who should win the best-dressed awards.

After much deliberation, Best Dressed Mother went to Melissa Slevin, who won €200 sponsored by Cleaning Contractors; Best Dressed Male was awarded to Graham Hawkins, who walked away with a set of cufflinks sponsored by Citroen Ireland.

The highly coveted Best Dressed Lady was won by Karen Doolin, who was presented with a hamper of beauty products sponsored by The Loop at Dublin Airport and a week's test drive in a Citroen DS4, sponsored by Citroen Ireland.

A raffle followed with prizes donated by Sandymount businesses (full list on the Railway website (www.railwayunionrfc.com).

The rest of the night kicked off with 'Railway Does Blind Date', hosted by Jack Hanratty, and was followed by live music and singing from renowned Dublin musician and Railway Legends member, Fergus Nolan.
