O'Driscoll's ruling out record fifth World Cup

ONE more year and that's it – Brian O'Driscoll (pictured) won't try to feature in an unprecedented fifth World Cup in 2015.

O'Driscoll (34), who is fit for Saturday's Pro12 final against Ulster at the RDS, has confirmed that he will only play for one more season with both Leinster and Ireland, having signed a new deal with the IRFU last week following much speculation about his future plans, claiming that family commitments were to the forefront of that decision.

"I really am not ready for a year of speculation," he said. "It is going to be just the one.

"I can't handle that in every interview that I do.

"I know with my wife, I did agree to do just one more. I did say as well when I was talking about a World Cup, that means three pre-seasons.

"I don't have another three pre-seasons in me. It was probably quite recently that I made the decision."
