LEINSTER coach Matt O'Connor should have Luke Fitzgerald back on board for their Heineken Cup tussle against French champions Castres Olympique next Sunday.

The in-form left wing reported ill on Saturday morning, forcing O'Connor to press Dave Kearney into emergency service from the bench.

Fitzgerald's recovery from what was thought to be a 24-hour big will present O'Connor with the problem of leaving out one international from a quartet of quality players.

Specialist full-back Rob Kearney is an automatic option, leaving versatile back Zane Kirchner, Fitzgerald and Dave Kearney looking to take O'Connor's eye in training this week.
