O'Brien opens new Eden' for mini's

LEINSTER and Ireland back-row forward Sean O'Brien was in Edenderry RFC to open the new "mini's" training area last Saturday morning.

The facility was largely funded by the Drehid Community Grant Scheme and features a 70m x 35m sand-based training area which is floodlit to the highest standards. Sean was a great ambassador for Leinster Rugby as he posed for photos and signed autographs for all who wanted them.

Also in attendance on the day were Michael 'Spike' Nolan (Lord Mayor of Kildare) and Sheamie Langan, who both represented Kildare County Council who operate the grant scheme.

With the numbers at "minis" level increasing all the time, the facility will be an invaluable asset to Edenderry's already tremendous infrastructure.
