Munster hex set to continue for downcast Cardiff

Cardiff Blues v Munster (tonight, 7.05, LIVE TG4) - This Welsh club is spiralling downwards and out of control, plummeting to five straight defeats between Europe and the PRO12.

Their commitment to the cause against Leinster in the PRO12 last Saturday was humiliating and cast a long, low shadow over the leadership of Wales captain Sam Warburton.

He seemed to play out the game with one eye on not getting injured rather than training both eyes on Leinster's attack.

There has always been something soft at the heart of a club that should have been able to transition into the professional era because of its natural, long-standing presence in Cardiff.

So often, they have threatened so much more than they have delivered. Their return to the historical Arms Park has produced four losses in five.

Munster will have to find a balance between their last four defeats on the road and the fact they have beaten Cardiff the last four times out.
