Mary's thrive again after difficult start

THE women's squad at St Mary's College RFC are thriving this season looking at their second year supporting two women's teams.

Challenging is a word that would sum up the struggle for players at the beginning of the season due to injury and emigration (story of a nation), but they've come through the other end fighting.

With two successful open nights under their belts, a thriving social life and a tight-knit rugby community, they are soaring and as they approach the twilight of the 2013/14 season, they have learnt many lessons and look forward to winning some silverware in the cup, before they take to the tag/GAA pitches of Dublin over the summer.
