Leinster book charts cup path

LEINSTER Rugby and Sportsfile, Ireland’s leading sports photography agency, last night launched "Rhapsody in Blue", the book that illustrates the journey to Leinster’s 2011 Heineken Cup victory.

The book gives a great flavour of the fantastic memories of the successful season through action packed pictures as well as anecdotes from key players.

No detail is missed from the team’s big win over ASM Clermont Auvergne in near arctic conditions last December, to what has been billed as one of the greatest ever comebacks seen in rugby, when the boys in blue beat Northampton Saints in the Heineken Cup final in Cardiff, last May.

Peter Breen, Media and Communications manager with Leinster Rugby and author of ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, said: “We’re really proud of this book and the way it captures all the action from last season.

“The team at Sportsfile are on the ground covering every match and the book includes some great shots from behind the scenes as well as the action,” he concluded. The book is on sale from www.leinsterrugby.ie, www.sportsfile.com and from select bookshops nationwide (€24.95).
