Leaders Munster motivated to fly away from the Ospreys

THIS would usually be one of the tastier fixtures on the calendar but for the fact that the Autumn internationals will strip away the depth of class on show.

It would be easy to forego the obvious fact that there are still four points, maybe even five, at stake for Munster and their Welsh foes, ranked first and second on the table.

Interestingly, the only club outside Ireland to put Munster to the sword at Thomond Park since October 2006 has been? That's right, the Ospreys. Twice.

Steve Tandy's men rebounded from a disastrous two weeks of the Heineken Cup to hit the Dragons for a bonus-point in climbing to second on the ladder.

This is all they have left to play for in terms of silverware and that can be a dangerous motivation. Munster coach Rob Penney (inset) will be well aware of the firepower Ospreys bring.

How could he not be? The Ospreys have not been beaten by Munster the last five times they have played them. Then again, there is nothing Munster love more than a challenge as they showed in Glasgow.
