JJ nominated for U20 award

IRELAND’S JJ Hanrahan has been nominated on a short list of three for the U20 World Cup Player of the Tournament in South Africa.

The Munster fly-half is joined by a South African pair in blindside Shaun Adendorff and centre Jan Serfontein following voting by team managers, match officials and media at the competition.

The young man from Currow in Co Kerry notched 13 points in Ireland’s opener at the Junior World Championship against

South Africa and is currently the tournament’s joint second-highest points scorer ahead of the 5th-6th place play-off against France on Friday.
