Irish have work cut out

England v Ireland, Esher RFC, Tomorrow (KO 2.0)

THE English are four-from-four and on the trail of another Grand Slam at this level. There is nothing more mundane than watching the same team dominate any competition.

England have scored 138 points for the concession of a miserly six, so far.

This is an indication of the mountain Ireland have to climb, even though they are equal second with France on six points and ahead of them on points difference. This is a measure of their improvement.

Captain Fiona Coghlan made the right noise when claiming Ireland will play "heads up" rugby in the search for their first Triple Crown in the six-year history of this Six Nations.
