Joe Schmidt's Ireland will fine tune their preparations for next year's Rugby World Cup by taking on some familiar foes.

A statement from the IRFU confirmed that the current Six Nations champions will face Scotland at the Aviva on Saturday, August 15 and the hosts England at Twickenham on September 5.

We already knew that Ireland will travel to the Millennium Stadium on August 8 and will then host the Welsh three weeks later at the Aviva after the Welsh Rugby Union announced their warm-up plans yesterday.

Ireland will begin their World Cup campaign against Canada on September 19 in Cardiff before games against Romania, Italy and France.
