High noon for Drico on Friday ahead of visit to Clermont

Leinster will not make a decision on the availability of Brian O'Driscoll to line out against Clermont-Auvergne in the Heineken Cup on Sunday until Friday lunch-time.

It is not quite clear if this is a delay and distract tactic by Leinster in order to keep Clermont-Auvergne off-balance or whether O'Driscoll has a realistic shot at making the match on Sunday.

Given the three to five-week initial guesstimate, he must be rated at long-odds to make the treacherous trip to Stade Michel Michelin as Leinster bid to maintain their lead in Pool Two following October wins over Racing Metro and Saracens.

Otherwise, forwards Jamie Heaslip, Cian Healy and Jason Harris-Wright, and scrum-half option Isaac Boss are back in contention for selection after missing Leinster's 17-all draw with the Scarlets in the Magners League last Friday.
