JAMIE HEASLIP will not be joining reigning Heineken Cup champions Toulon, according to reports in France today.

Midi Olympique, the newspaper which broke the news of Jonny Sexton's move to Racing Metro, is reporting that Welsh full-back Leigh Halfpenny will move to Toulon but Heaslip will not.

Heaslip travelled to Toulon over the festive period to meet with club officials. Leinster chief Mick Dawson said last week that he expected news on Heaslip's future soon and the IRFU will be hoping to secure his signature before the Six Nations begins.

Leinster will play Toulon in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals in a bid to make it through to a possible all-Irish semi-final against Munster at The Aviva Stadium.

Munster will host four-time winners Toulouse at Thomond Park for earning the bonus-point against Edinburgh yesterday, buoyed by the news today that lock Paul O'Connell has signed a two-year central contract to stay with Munster until 2016.

Top seeds Ulster have won the right to host second-best runners-up Saracens at Ravenhill with the motivation of a home semi-final against either Clermont-Auvergne or Leicester Tigers should they advance.
