Handling errors cost Ulster

BRIAN McLaughlin's five-word summary at the end of Ulster's titanic 20-9 loss to Leicester Tigers said it all. "It was very, very disappointing," the Ulster coach admitted.

Leicester outside centre Matt Smith scored the game's only try in the 67th minute, winning the race to dive on Toby Flood's kick.

Penalties by former Leicester player Ian Humphreys saw Ulster edge ahead on three occasions in the first half, but fly-half Flood ultimately secured the win by kicking five penalties of his own.
