Glasgow sealed a 37-32 bonus-point win over the Scarlets in a free-flowing encounter at Parc y Scarlets to maintain their outside hopes of a home semi-final in the Magners League play-offs.
The Warriors must now hope Scottish rivals Edinburgh can do them a favour against Leinster in Dublin tomorrow after the Ospreys notched up the bonus point they needed against the Dragons.
Dan Parks kicked 17 points, while Scarlets' No10, Stephen Jones, landed 22 to write himself into the Scarlets' record books as their highest ever points scorer.
The two sides went almost tit for tat all first half, but wing Lee Williams' try reduced the arrears for the Scarlets, leaving the half-time score at 16-17 to Glasgow.
The free-scoring nature of the game continued after the restart as Jones' try made history.
The Scarlets moved into a 29-23 lead, but Glasgow hit back with Hefin O'Hare and Bernardo Stortoni tries. A Jones penalty offered the Scarlets hope, but the home side had to settle for yet another losing bonus point.
