FRENCH rugby player Mathieu 'The Mountain' Bastareaud was 'out for the count' in Dublin's Krystle nightclub after the Six Nations clash with Ireland at the weekend.

A picture emerged of the big French man on Twitter, having a nap in the top Dublin nightspot.

It appears he headed out for a night on the tiles despite the 18-11 loss to Ireland at the weekend.

Bastareaud also clearly enjoys a quick sleep in Krystle, as this is the second photo to emerge after he was previously caught napping there in 2013.

He banged heads with Johnny Sexton during the game, leaving the Irish star with a nasty cut above his eye. Sexton was left nursing stitches as well as a black eye after colliding with the 19-stone juggernaut on Saturday.

At the end of the game Sexton and Bastareaud embraced one another in a show of 'no harm done'.

After victories against both France and Italy, Ireland is well-placed to retain the Six Nations title.

French player Uini Atonio said that Ireland are in "pole position" to pull off a Six Nations Grand Slam.

"They won the tournament last year, so they are capable of doing that again," Atonio said.
