Finale of YDO Scheme in Wexford is not to missed

The highlight and grand finale of the Leinster Branch YDO Scheme for this season will take place at Park Lane, Wexford Wanderers' ground, next Tuesday at 10.30am.

This is an occasion not to be missed, with the young boys and girls competing for three different trophies on the same day.

The programme for the day will be as follows: the Kelly's Resort Hotel Cup will be contested by fifth and sixth classes, mixed.

The People Newspaper Trophy will be contested by fourth and fifth classes, mixed. The Echo Newspaper Trophy will be contested by all girls. Awards from Leinster Branch will also have an input for fair play, best-dressed team and best skills.

The schools competing will be as follows: Kilmore NS; Barntown NS; Screen NS; Curracloe NS; Crossabeg NS; Castle Bridge NS; Rosslare Strand NS; Kilrane NS; Kennedy Park NS (Gordon D'Arcy's old school); Coolcotts NS; St Iberins NS; CBS NS; The Faythe NS.

With at least three teams from each school, this is one of the best sporting spectacles with so many young people competing in sport at the one time in the same venue.
