My name is John Dillon and I am an active member of Boyne RFC.
I have served as youth coordinator, youth coach, club officer and member of various committees and sub-committees at the club over the past 20 years.
I've had a passion for photography for many a year now and was so thrilled to win the competition that Leinster Rugby has been running in conjunction with the Evening Herald and Inpho Photography.
My photo, entitled 'The Rewards After A Hard Game', was taken as the players left the pitch at Mill Road, Dundalk after Boyne's narrow win over our great rivals in a fiercely competitive Leinster J1 fixture.
Our captain, Craig McGrath, and his wife, Kirsty, and son, Justin, were walking off the pitch when I snapped the photo. In the photo we see Craig and Kirsty, with Justin over Craig's shoulder and some of the club's fraternity in the background having the last word on the game itself.
I look forward to the crash course in photography that has been organised and the chance to be an official photographer at a Leinster game.
