Dance time at Tullow!

TULLOW RFC held a major "It's Strictly Dancing" fundraiser on Sunday, October 28 in Mount Wolseley hotel.

In total, 26 dancers gave it their all in a brilliant night's entertainment with the overall winners being decided by a judging panel and audience vote.

The judging panel consisted of Luke Fitzgerald (Leinster and Ireland), Nicola Purcell (Dance Republic Dance Studio) and Maria Ansbro. Overall winners were Betty Nolan and Tim Larkin for their dance to 'Footloose'.

The club was also honoured to have Joe Schmidt and his wife, Kelly, in attendance on the night.

There was a special treat in store when local favourite Sean O'Brien and Robin Curran took to the stage, brilliant stuff!

MC on the night was Brendan Hennessy, over 700 people attended and everyone enjoyed a disco after the main event.

Special thanks must be given to the dancers for their commitment for the past eight weeks in training, to Joe O'Connell of Eden Events who helped organise the event, Dance Republic who provided the dancers with expert training and to our sub-committee of PJ and Gina Haskins, Luke Hade, Miriam Dempsey and everyone who helped out in any way.

This has been a very busy month for the club who also hosted a table quiz for Ireland Autism Action earlier in the month.
