Cup's tour kicks off with Thomastown

ON a glorious November morning last Wednesday week the Heineken Cup had its Kilkenny Trophy Tour launched in St Mary's, Thomastown.

With the help of coaches from the club, everyone had a very enjoyable day and between tag rugby, rugby drills and games all pupils had fun in the sunshine.

The highlight of the day for the children was the appearance of Leo the Lion with the Heineken Cup and Leo entertained and gave out a few Leinster spot prizes to the young Leinster followers.

Over the next few days, the Heineken Cup visited over 20 schools in Kilkenny.

A big thank you to St Mary's principal Margaret Walsh, her staff and the Kilkenny Rugby Club coaches for their help in making the launch day a success.
