THE Leinster Youths Cup Finals day has come round again and will take place on Bank Holiday Monday in Donnybrook. It gives an opportunity for Cup finalists at U15, U17 and U19 levels to showcase their skills in the final matches of the season.
The first final, the U15 McAuley Cup, will start at noon on Monday in Donnybrook, and will see Navan RFC take on Enniscorthy RFC. Both clubs are normally in contention at the final stages of all competitions.
Navan beat Cill Dara, Birr and Gorey on their way to Donnybrook, while Enniscorthy saw off Athy, Clane, Ratoath and Kilkenny.
The second final, the U17 Culliton Cup, kicks off at 2pm. Mullingar RFC have qualified to play the winners of Navan RFC and Ashbourne RFC.
Mullingar defeated Cill Dara, Edenderry, Co Carlow, New Ross and Tullamore on their way to the final.
The last match, the U19 D'Arcy Cup, will see Naas RFC and Tullamore RFC battle it out for the honours, with kick-off set for 4pm.
Both clubs have won this competition in previous years.
Naas beat New Ross, Dundalk, Boyne and R&B Rebels to reach the final. Tullamore ended the hopes of Athy, Clane, Ratoath and Kilkenny.
The Cup Finals Day is a great occasion for all involved, be it the young players, their families, supporters and clubs.
So drop in on Monday at Donnybrook and catch up with the fun on and off the pitch.
